These grants supported research that formed the basis of the 1997 monograph, Methods of Fracture Mechanics: Solid Matter Physics, and his other foundational works.
Publications and teaching activities
Dr. Cherepanov has authored at least seventeen books and more than 300 peer-refereed research papers published in 18 Russian and 12 American journals. His most comprehensive work, Invariant Integrals in Physics (Springer, 2019), represents the culmination of his scientific career and unified his discoveries across multiple fields.
Under the supervision of Dr. Cherepanov, 21 postgraduates have received Ph.D.'s, and 6 postdoctoral Sc.D.'s. At FIU, Dr. Cherepanov delivered 16 different courses on mechanics, materials, engineering, and applied mathematics for graduate and undergraduate students. Approximately 130 BSs, 150 MSs, and 4 Ph.Ds have been educated on these courses.
